Hey everyone!
I would like to officially welcome Andrew Lucas Hight to the world. He was born on March 22nd, 2010 at 1:15pm. His birth weight is 9lbs 6oz and 21″ long. He is adorable and everything his mama and I could have asked for or wanted in a son. Love you, Andrew.

I went swimming tonight at my friend’s “heated” indoor pool.
It was about 40 degrees outside.
And about 50 degrees in the pool.

I don’t think that constitutes as “heated”. Unless it’s 20 degrees out. Which it isn’t.

Maybe I will just sit in my nice, warm, dry clothes next time. Yes, I do believe I will do so.

There’s a squirrel that’s been on our porch for the past 30 minutes or so. He is climbing over all the empty cardboard boxes and firewood out there. And tearing the cardboard to pieces.
Dumb squirrel. I put a few crackers out there for him.
He took one.
I think I will just let him be and watch.

Amanda and I finally got the crib up tonight! She is extremely excited about it and so am I. Now all that is left is to paint the wall, hang the letters of Andrew’s name on the wall and have the baby. We both will be so relieved to just have him here.

So, as a hobby, I have gotten into body piercing. I have done about 5 on myself and 5 on other people. I don’t know why, but the idea of having plastic or metal infused into skin is just so cool to me. It’s like an extension of my creativity and edginess that I can [...]

When the joy and happiness of
Summer has come and is done
The cold air blows much harder
The Sun is all but gone
We talk about how it used to be
In the Summer when things were grand
When we used to walk down by the lake
We stood there hand in hand
We watched the Sun move out of sight
